Planning a bathroom renovation in Beaconsfield? From homes near Lakeshore, Sherwood, and Beacon Hill to other established neighborhoods across the city, Canento helps homeowners transform their bathrooms through careful planning, coordinated trades, and attentive project management.
As a residential general contractor working throughout Beaconsfield and the West Island, Canento manages the renovation process from the initial assessment through to the finishing details.
Our approach focuses on clear communication, an organized worksite, and attention to the details that make a bathroom both functional and enjoyable to use.
Every bathroom renovation is different. Some homeowners want to update an existing layout with new finishes and fixtures. Others are looking for a more extensive renovation that changes how the space is organized and used.
In established homes, renovations may reveal conditions that were not visible during the initial assessment, such as aging plumbing, uneven subfloors, moisture damage, or ventilation issues.
Canento takes these possibilities into account during the planning process and works with homeowners to define the scope of their renovation before construction begins.
Depending on the project, a bathroom renovation may involve new tile, a shower or bathtub, vanity and storage improvements, lighting, ventilation, and coordinated plumbing or electrical work. The goal is to create a bathroom that meets the homeowner’s needs while respecting the existing space and the practical requirements of the renovation.
Construction Canento is a residential general contractor specializing in bathroom renovation, kitchen renovation, and full home renovation projects, working with homeowners throughout Beaconsfield and the West Island.

Canento is an RBQ-licensed and insured general contractor and a member of the APCHQ. Its RBQ licence can be verified through the public RBQ registry.
A well-organized bathroom remodeling project begins with understanding the existing bathroom and what the homeowner wants to achieve.
Canento reviews the project requirements, discusses the proposed changes, and prepares a written scope of work to establish what is included in the renovation.
If unexpected conditions are discovered during construction, any necessary changes to the scope, cost, or schedule are discussed and documented before the additional work proceeds.
This helps homeowners understand the project and make informed decisions as the renovation progresses.
A bathroom renovation project involves several trades whose work must be carefully coordinated.
Canento acts as the general contractor and main point of contact, coordinating qualified trades and subcontractors involved in the project.
Rather than managing separate contractors themselves, homeowners have one company overseeing the work, coordinating schedules, and communicating about the project’s progress.
A successful bathroom renovation depends on more than the appearance of the finished space.
Waterproofing, tile installation, ventilation, lighting, fixture placement, and finishing details all contribute to the bathroom’s functionality and long-term performance.
Canento coordinates the different stages of the renovation, oversees the work, and pays attention to the details that contribute to a well-finished result.
Choosing a bathroom renovation contractor in Beaconsfield means choosing the company that will coordinate the work inside your home and take responsibility for managing the project from start to finish.
Canento’s approach brings together careful preparation, qualified trades, clear communication, and attentive supervision.
We aim to make the renovation process more organized and predictable while delivering a bathroom that reflects the homeowner’s needs and expectations.

A well-planned bathroom balances everyday function with lasting quality. Here’s what we take into account before work begins.
How the space is laid out determines how it feels to use every day. We plan circulation, storage, and fixture placement around your household’s actual routines, not just the floor plan on paper.
What happens behind the walls affects how the room performs for years. Waterproofing and ventilation are planned early in the project to help protect the space from moisture-related problems over time.
Light layers like task, ambient, and mirror lighting are mapped out early in every project, rather than added as an afterthought. The goal is a space that works well for grooming and feels comfortable at any time of day, whether it’s an ensuite renovation or a shared family bathroom.
Tile, countertop, and fixture choices are guided by how they’ll hold up, not just how they’ll look on day one. In every bathroom remodel we help you weigh durability and upkeep alongside aesthetics.
Certain decisions affect the budget more than others, including tile layout complexity, plumbing relocations, and specialty fixtures. We discuss these early so the renovation scope and budget can be aligned from the start.

The timeline depends on the scope of work, the condition of the existing bathroom, material availability, and the coordination required between trades. In older homes, opening up walls can sometimes reveal conditions that affect the schedule.
A renovation that keeps the existing layout may take less time than a complete transformation involving plumbing, electrical work, or changes to the room’s configuration.
Canento discusses the expected schedule once the project requirements have been assessed.
Permit requirements depend on the scope of work and the property. Homeowners are responsible for confirming requirements with the City of Beaconsfield’s Urban Planning and Permits department and obtaining any required municipal permits before work begins.
Canento’s written quote defines the agreed scope of work and outlines the renovation work being proposed.
The details depend on the project and the materials and finishes selected.
If unexpected conditions require changes during construction, those changes are discussed and documented before the additional work proceeds.
Canento coordinates residential bathroom renovations ranging from updates to existing spaces to more extensive renovations.
The work may involve replacing fixtures and finishes, improving storage, updating the shower or bathtub, or modifying the layout.
The scope is determined based on the existing bathroom and the homeowner’s renovation goals.
For most single-bathroom projects, homeowners remain in the home throughout the renovation. Canento coordinates the schedule and site logistics to minimize disruption to daily routines.
For projects involving the only bathroom in the home, additional planning may be required. These details are addressed before work begins, as part of the project’s defined scope and schedule.
